Learning outcomes
Students in this practically oriented course will gain practical skills in microscopic observation of plant specimens, protozoa, fungus-like organisms and true fungi.
Students will acquire practical skills in microscopy, preparation of biological samples, cultivation of microorganisms, and application of biological techniques in teaching.

Assessment methods and criteria
Practical demonstration of acquired skills, Test

Students will learn microscopy of various algal species, calculate photometric determination of transpiration rate, and learn to determine the number of stomata per unit leaf area. Students will complete a log for each laboratory exercise. Students will independently study methods of preserving collected biological material - algae, protozoa, fungal spores. Active participation in seminars and successful completion of the final test.
