Learning outcomes

The course is conceived as a field trip to a school or informal educational institution where students will learn about the possibilities of field education and the principles of field trips.
Students will learn to plan and implement field teaching focused on botany, ecology, and environmentalism.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written assignment
Students will get to know didactic principles, methods and forms of teaching that can be implemented in the field. In this first course the emphasis will be on botany, ecology and environmental science. Students will prepare materials that will be applicable to their own teaching. Students will independently study information about planning a field trip to a botanical garden and background information for addressing a selected ecological or environmental topic. Preparation of individual worksheets as instructed by the teacher.
