Learning outcomes
Students will gain knowledge about the basic geological units on the territory of the Czech Republic, about the influence of individual orogenies on the development of the Bohemian Massif, about the development of the Bohemian Massif.
Students will gain an overview of geological processes, Earth's development, and the impact of geological changes on biodiversity. They will learn to work with geological maps and analyze geological phenomena.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Written assignment

Students will be able to work with geological maps, especially 1:50 000, in practicing basic geological phenomena (tectonics, orography, paleontology) and will learn field mapping. They will also deepen their knowledge of rocks and the rock cycle. They will recall the origin of the universe, the solar system and the Earth, the composition of the Earth and the endogenous and exogenous processes and processes that take place on Earth. Finally, they will learn about the main geological units in the country. Students will independently study information about the Bohemian Cretaceous Plateau and the Bohemian Massif - origin, basic characteristics, current mountain ranges in these areas.
