Learning outcomes
Students will learn about plant diversity and the interrelationships of different groups. They will gain insight into the plant system throughout evolution: green algae, bryophytes, bryophytes, ferns, gymnosperms, and gymnosperms and their basic characteristics, distribution, ecological importance, and systems.
Students will learn about the diversity of plants and fungi, their systematics, evolution, and ecological significance. They will be able to identify important families and their typical representatives.

Assessment methods and criteria
Practical demonstration of acquired skills, Presentation of acquired experience via portfolio

Students will learn to identify typical representatives by demonstrating typical representatives of the families discussed. Students will also learn about typical representatives through a visit to a botanical garden. Students will independently study the basic characteristics and the system of selected groups with emphasis on important families. A condition for the classified credit is active participation in the exercises and writing and presenting a seminar paper or essay on the assigned topic.
