Learning outcomes
The EVVO II course essentially builds on the EVVO I course, deepening the knowledge and skills acquired (i.e., orientation in the system, forms, and methods used in EVVO) and focusing on the ability to apply them in practice. Therefore, completion of the EVVO I course is a prerequisite. Graduates will be able to apply the knowledge gained from their studies in practice for various target groups. The course is primarily practical in nature. Through working with specific examples, students will learn to communicate current environmental topics, such as climate change, nature and landscape conservation, civic engagement, etc., and will acquire various approaches, methods, and forms of environmental education. Great attention is paid to the analysis of educational activities. Students learn to analyze them, formulate goals, fulfill them using appropriate methods, and reflect on and evaluate them. Thanks to their experience and joint discussion, students deepen their understanding of the principles of environmental education and develop the skills necessary for the high-quality implementation of environmental education in practice. The course also includes a two-day residential educational block at a specialized workplace with accommodation. The outcome of the course is a prepared proposal for a practical educational or awareness-raising activity (teaching unit, campaign, nature trail, educational or awareness-raising event, etc.) and its presentation.
