Course content
|
Within the course, the student is obliged to complete an internship of at least 10 days. The term of the internship can be freely chosen from 1/summer semester to 3/winter semester in organizations working in the given field, e.g. in the regional office of the Nature Conservation Agency, in the Research Institute of Plant Production (Department of Grassland Ecosystem Ecology in Liberec) and in non-profit organizations professionally engaged in the study and protection of the environment. Foreign mobility of a minimum duration of 2 months is also admissible, provided that the focus of the mobility is related to the nature of the study programme. Completion of a professional internship will enable students to gain practical experience of working in the field and will facilitate their orientation when choosing a job after graduation.

Learning outcomes: The student will gain a basic overview of the opportunities for professional practice in organisations and institutions focused on nature conservation and the environment. The student will become familiar with the processes and principles of work procedures, research methods, and practical applications in the field of ecology and environmental protection. The student will acquire knowledge about building a professional network and developing specialised competencies, which will facilitate their orientation in the labour market and in choosing future employment. The student will improve in connecting theoretical knowledge with practical skills and in understanding the relationships between theory and applied practice in the given field.
