Course content
State behavior of ideal and real fluids, intermolecular interactions. Axioms of phenomenological thermodynamics and their physical interpretation. Thermochemistry, phase equilibrium in one-component and multi-component systems, key role of the chemical potential in thermodynamics. Chemical equilibrium, chemical kinetics, electrochemistry, surface properties and transport phenomena.

Learning outcomes
Master: State behavior of ideal and real fluids, intermolecular interactions. Axioms of phenomenological thermodynamics and their physical interpretation. Thermochemistry, phase equilibrium in one-component and multi-component systems, key role of the chemical potential in thermodynamics. Chemical equilibrium, chemical kinetics, electrochemistry, surface properties and transport phenomena.
To explain and deduce basic knowledge on field, including solving fundamental physico-chemical problems.
Prerequisites
knowledge of high school chemistry, mathematics and physics

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined examination

Three paper exams during semester (weight 36 %), final paper exam (weight 30 %), and oral exam (weight 34 %). Knowledge of Inorganic chemistry in the scope of this subject.
