Course content
|
The aim of the seminar is to introduce students to the basic topics and methods of cognitive linguistics. The issue is placed in a wider context, the cognitive approach is compared with the structural and communicative pragmatic one. The seminar presents the basic thematic areas of cognitive linguistics: cognitive linguistics and its relationship to other cognitive sciences, linguistic picture of the world, stereotype, metaphor, bodily anchoring of meaning, cultural and educational potential of cognitive linguistics, etc.

Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)
