Teaching culture is an integral part of teaching any foreign language as it gives the rules to determinate the usage of the language itself. Everyday communication requires communicative competence in the target language in order to act appropriately in the target culture. When the target language is taught a great number of sample communicative situations are used and each should be framed in cultural environment so that a learner can get cultural knowledge. The aim of the course is to teach the Czech socio-cultural paradigma in contrast to the other cultures, which should help studen in the adequate behavior and attitudes towards foriners.
