Course content
The course aims at the mastering of essential skills in both analysis and creating of specialized texts, knowledge of their style properties and semantic features. Key topics: Language structure of specialized texts; most common shortcomings and mistakes; thematic structure of specialized texts; fixed constituents of scholarly texts.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
