Course content
The course focuses on exploring the basic principles and issues of artistic creation from the perspective of the use of technical and technological tools ? computers, robotic processes, automated systems, etc. Issues of artificial intelligence are chosen as the overall methodological focus. The aim of this course is to open up a space in which it would be possible to reflect on the changed situation of contemporary art ? methods from the natural and technical sciences are entering the field of artistic creation. This foundation gives rise to new questions: how is the status of art changing in this context? Will contemporary art merely follow current technological developments, catching up with and transforming them, or can it also actively participate in them and find further cultural and creative meaning? Lecture topics: 1-2) Introductory lecture ? searching for order and rules in art 3-4) Art and the question of code: the tension between the generality of the system and the uniqueness of the artwork 5-6) Generative art 7-8) Art based on the use of artificial intelligence ? definition of basic concepts, methods, and goals 9-10) Art based on the use of artificial intelligence ? specifics of artistic creation 11-12) Art based on the use of artificial intelligence ? specifics of artistic creation: qualitative concept of information 13-14) Art based on the use of artificial intelligence ? specifics of artistic creation: conclusion Learning outcomes: Knowledge Students: 1. Knows the basic principles and issues of artistic creation in the context of the use of technical and technological tools. 2. Understands the influence of natural and technical science methods on contemporary art. 3. Knows the basic concepts, methods, and goals of generative art and art based on the use of artificial intelligence. 4. Understands the theoretical connections between code, system, and the uniqueness of a work of art. 5. Knows the cultural and creative implications of technical and technological developments for art. Skills Students: 1. Can analyze works of art in terms of their technical and technological foundations. 2. Can identify and interpret the specifics of works of art that use artificial intelligence. 3. Critically evaluates the impact of technological innovations on the status and role of art. 4. Applies theoretical knowledge to assess the cultural and creative significance of technology in art. 5. Formulates and defends their own opinion on the relationship between art and technological development. General competencies Students: 1. Perceives artistic creation in the context of technological, scientific, and social changes. 2. Connects knowledge from the fields of art, science, and technology within the framework of their own reflection.

Learning outcomes
The course New Tendencies of Fine Arts 2 combines lectures and guided tours of contemporary art exhibitions. The objective of the course is to name the relations in art of the 20th century with today's art on the specific examples of artists and tendencies, when it is necessary to describe the complex relationship between avant-garde and neoavantgarde and the present, traditional artistic media, new media of the digital age with higher levels of theoretical reflection. It is not only the relations of contemporary art to the previous, but also to the transformation the perception of the world which occurred in the last century, as reflection of current events. Therefore, in order to be able to understand the art, it is often necessary to refer to contemporary scientific and philosophical thinking. Topics overview: 1. Postminimalism I 2.
