Course content
|
Excesises: 1. Assignment of a semester topic whose idea reacts flexibly to the current development of design in textiles and fashion. Analysis of teaching concept, which is focused on creative expression of design by weaving patterning means. The garment requires a conceptually more comprehensive concept of the garment collection. 2. Creation of moodboards, background research, study of realization technology. 3. Development of sketches for woven textiles, simplified forms of expression and assessment of the weaving possibilities. 4.- 5. Modeling a dress on a tailor's dummy. Emphasis on conection of shape solutions of individual models. Use of the piece of material developed by draping of the garment. Art sketches, choice of colors, clothing silhouette, realization of tests in material, final design. 6.- 12. Realization of textile fabric in textile workshop, use of textile weft patterning. Comparison of surface texture options in connection with material quality selection. In the garment part there is a cutting solution and the implementation of a fashion collection. 13. Printed Portfolio presentation. 14. Preparation for presentation and presentation at semester exhibition.

Learning outcomes
|
Design and realization of fabric with a more complicated art composition, larger size art piece. Implementation by weaving on the frame using more complex binding and weaving technology. The design and implementation of the fashion collection is more complicated, the garment is formed as a multi-piece, layered with the use of a combination of materials and with attention to detail. The emphasis is on the use and properties of the product. This course is taught in the form of studio teaching.
Within this subject student gains practical experience from his field of study.

Prerequisites

Professional knowledge and skills acquired in previous studies. The condition is a fulfilled subject Basics of textile and clothing design (KDE/PNT1).

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Presentation of artistic and creative activities
Credit: active participation in seminars. Examination: submission and defense of semestral work before the art committee at the final semestral exhibition.
