Course content
|
Lectures: 1. Course Information and Schedule. Lecture on the topic. 2. Working with information sources, fashion trends and commercial requirements. Working with the pattern and its using in jacquard fabric, jacquard knitwear and printing. 3. Reporting and color variations. 4. Parameters and conditions for textile printing. 5. Parameters and conditions for decorating jacquard fabrics. 6. Parameters and conditions for decorating jacquard knitwear. 7. Presentation and portfolio preparation. Practice: 1. Searching of inspiration on the subject. 2. Preparation of original designs in various art techniques. 3. Submission of initial proposals and discussion with regard to current fashion trends. 4. Selection of final design for processing in individual technologies. 5. Design a pattern for textile printing using Adobe Photoshop. 6. Digital printing according to the schedule. 7. Design of jacquard fabric using DesignScope victor (EAT). 8. Design of jacquard fabric design using DesignScope victor (EAT). 9. Making a pattern for jacquard knitwear using computer technology. 10. Knitting according to schedule. 11. Weaving according to schedule. 12. Adjustment of created fabric samples. 13. Creation of a portfolio including design of the use of proposed fabrics in the interior or for clothing. 14. Credit.

Learning outcomes
|
A study of topic. Design of fabrics, arranging of pattern on the fabric, colorits. Possibility using of the computer design in the fabric pattering: jacquard patterning of knitting and weaving, creation and setting of design for printing. Technical possibilities of these three technologies, realising and presentation.
Students are able to create own fabric design with utilization of PC system.

|
Presentation of artistic and creative activities, Interview
Credit: participation on seminars. Consultation with the lecturers. Exam: working out and presentation of seminary works.
