1. Acoustic systems, basic terms, classification of acoustic signals, Fourier transform, frequency response of a system, measurement of the frequency response, a simple oscillating system, frequency and dynamic ranges of the system 2. Sound fields, free sound field, field of reflected waves, diffusive sound field 3. Basic acoustic measurements, measuring spaces, measuring microphone, filters, sound meter, frequency (spectral) analyzer 4. Acoustic elements, basic terms, Helmholtz resonator, waveguides, Kundt?s tube 5. Architectural acoustics, wave theory, statistical theory, architectural acoustics criteria, geometrical acoustics 6. Building acoustics, sound absorption, sound isolation 7. Physiological acoustics, basic terms, a human ear, distortion in an ear, pitch and frequency, loudness, tones and noise, masking, acoustics of speech 8.
