Course content
1. Introduction to electrical engineering 2. Electrical circuits with constant currents 3. Electric fields 4. Magnetic fields 5. Electrical machines and equipment 6. Electrical circuits with variable voltage and current 7. Transient phenomena in electrical circuits 8. Electric circuits with harmonic voltage and current waveforms 9. Transfer of electrical energy between a source and an appliance 10. Three-phase system 11. Measurement of inductance of a coil and capacitance of a capacitor 12. Basic semiconductor elements 13. Electrical circuits with semiconductor elements 14. Safety at work in electrical engineering

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Students will be introduced to basics of electrotechnics so that they understand electrical machines and electronic instruments, perform measurements with electrical instruments and design simple experiments from electrotechnics. They also will be introduced to safety rules of work with electrical equipments.
