Lecture topics 1. Digital literacy in geography education. 2. The importance of cartography for geography and geographic education. 3. The importance of geoinformatics for geographical thinking and education. 4. Limits and opportunities of the DPZ and GNSS for geographic education. 5. Field geographic education and digital literacy. 6. Forms and methods of organizing and conducting the geography teaching with digital technologies. 7. The concept of spatial citizenship and geoinformatics techniques. 8. Historical cartography, old maps and geographic education. 9. Resources for continuing teacher education. 10. Applications in school environments. Exercise topics Web maps and their use as a teaching tool (e.a. Maps.cz and Google Maps). Digital storytelling and story maps: use of ArcGIS StoryMaps. Smartphone and tablet in field education. GNSS, GPS Drawing. Sketchbooks. Web GIS, ArcGIS Online platform and Mapping Our World tasks. 3D printing and terrain models as augmented reality. DPZ, satellite imagery and use in education.
