Course content
1. Specity of basic terms, meanings and forms. 2. Basic geoinforamtic principles. 3. Standards for use GIS and remote sensing (RS) methods in education at elementary schools (ES) and grammar schools (GS). 4. GIS and RS software for education. 5. GIS nad RS software for teaching at ES ES nad GS. 6. Data sources for GIS and RS. 7. Map servers. 8. GPS systems in teaching eat ES and GS. 9. Remote sensing: methods and forms used in schools. 10. Teaching methods and forms used geoinformatic methods. 11. Project and terrain teaching methods used geoinforamtic methods. 12. Mental maps and its use at nature sciences teaching. 13. Use GIS methods in cartography education. 14. Aplication in practise.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Written assignment presentation and defence

Learning outcomes
The subject is focus on problematic of implementation geoinformatic methods into teaching at elementary schools and grammar schools, especially into teaching of geography.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined examination, Presentation of acquired experience via portfolio

Seminars and lectures are required. Allowed one absence for seminar and one absence for the lecture. Workig out and defence of project. Oral exam.
