| Course content |
|
The course content focuses on the following topics: 1) Sources of physical-geographical data for the territory of the Czech Republic. 2) Work with digital terrain and surface models and the creation of derived surfaces. 3) Hydrological analyses based on elevation data. 4) Model tasks in physical geography based on raster and vector analyses. 5) Analyses of environmental risks using physical-geographical and population data. 6) Field data collection using mobile GIS tools and subsequent data processing. 7) Cartographic and web presentation of analysis results.

The course is devoted to the theory and practical applications of GIS in physical geography and their use for building information system of the territory and the creation of synthetic and analytical data for spatial planning based on physical geographic data and processes.
Knowing the problems and address challenges with a focus on physical geography, using geo-information technology. |

Student's performance analysis, Presentation of student research activity
Basic knowledge of working in a GIS environment, the ability to work independently with geographic data, and active participation in practical classes are required. Students complete partial analytical tasks, participate in field data collection, and present the results in the form of map or web outputs. |
