Course content

Presentation "What is geography" and talk to her will example of the approach the base concepts of topic. Search and selection of presentations of the first topic concepts will lighting demonstration base concepts of the topic. Entering the other five topics to students will be implemented in the context of the first part of the introduction. 1. Planet Earth, the Earth's surface and its imaging, landscape sphere, landscape 2. Abiotic components of the physical sphere, interaction 3. Biotic and abiotic-biotic components of the physical sphere, interaction 4. Socio-economic sphere, interaction 5. The cultural sphere (basic concepts of political and cultural geography) 6. Thematic maps

Learning outcomes
|
Practicing and deepening linguistic skills. Practice the conceptual basis of geography in comparison with the available presentations base concepts of geography in English. The course is primarily intended for Erazmus program students and covers the basics of geography taught at TU Liberec. It is designed for Applied geography students in the first semester to expand their language skills too.

Assessment methods and criteria

Interview
Active participation on seminars and on the final colloquium. Putting 5 presentations graphically demonstrating definitions, diagrams and comparison of basic geographic concepts used in geography at the bachelor level to TU Liberec with foreign schools using the Internet. Evaluate comprehension of the topics by the participants in the final colloquium and defend their contribution to the seminar
