This course functions as an introductory course to the didactics of geography. Throughout the course, students are introduced to the history and present of geography teaching in the Czech Republic, Europe and the world. The lectures are designed to support students in further learning of geography and motivate them to implement relevant methods, forms of teaching and appropriate self-reflection within their future teaching careers.
Creating, presenting and defending a chosen topic unit with a minimum of four lessons. The following sequential and consecutive steps are assessed: geographical generalisation/concept - input lesson - middle lesson. Final/summary/repetition lesson. Discussion of thematic units by other students. This is based on the revised Framework Curriculum of the ZV and GV.
