Course content
Thematic areas: Whole-class (frontal) geography learning Inquiry-based geography learning Game-based learning and elements of gamification Field-based geography learning Conceptual geography learning Problem-based geography learning Project-based geography learning Different approaches to geography learning among teachers Thematic areas of seminars: Each seminar builds on the topics covered in the lectures. Seminars are designed as a space in which students, through group micro-teaching activities, practically try out and enact planned learning situations so that they align with the selected form of learning or a given approach. These micro-teaching activities and students' intentions are subsequently discussed and reflected upon during the seminars in the context of the lectures and the recommended literature.

Learning outcomes
The course is designed to deepen students' attitudes toward the teaching profession and to support the clarification of their personal approach to teaching geography. Throughout the course, students are introduced to a variety of instructional organizational forms, different didactic approaches, and selected methods suitable for geography education. Based on short lectures, students are given ample opportunity within seminars to practically try out, apply, and "experience first-hand" these approaches through the implementation of their own instructional designs and their subsequent reflection.
