The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the geographical and economic connections of tourism, as a branch of the national economy, which has the potential to strongly influence the development of regions. The theory discussed in the lectures will be supplemented by an overview of tourism research methods in the introductory exercises. Subsequently, the students will prepare a development study for the selected region, in which they will practice these methods. The graduate of the subject should be able to critically evaluate the potential of tourism and its sustainability in the selected region based on data and using scientific methodology and interpret this data in the lesson.
