Course content
The subject has mainly methodological aims. It introduces and characterizes requirements for historical biographies in general and in their specific focus. It deals with critical approaches to sources, their processing and the creation of historical portraits, their stylistic requirements and possibilities. It emphasises the need of the complexity of presentation, even in the cases of biographies devoted only to a particular activity or a period of life. Learning outcomes
