Course content
Abstract: The subject focuses on internal (for example legislation, position of functional management according to the character of the institution) and external (for example the role of the institution in society and sector, sequence to non-profit sector and educational institutions) function of cultural institution. In the external operation it concerns primarily the role of institutions in society and the field of action, both in relation to non-profit sector and educational institutions and environment. The external context then contains the rules for public relations, fundraising, marketing and use of modern technologies and innovative practices in communication. Students get the basics for understanding the rules of procedure and rules and procedures for communication. Thematic definition: 01) Introduction, basic terminology, literature 02) Management, basic concepts, history 03) Code of Ethics for Museums 04) Planning, organizing, managing, controlling, human resources 05) The Museum as an institution, the basic organizational structure, basic legal documents 06) Museum Organization - AMG, ICOM, etc. 07) Public Works of Museum - the promotion and popularization, the various forms and their specific 08) Specific ways of presenting museum activities through the Internet 09) Forms and methods of detecting the effect of exposure to public museums 10) Buildings of museums: architecture, museums, museums and locations of buildings in the neighborhood, the functional characteristics of different parts of space equipment 11) Typology of museums: the characteristics of particular groups, the questions of "national history museum"in the Czech Republic 12) Proceedings of the museum, the importance of setting goals and methods (vision) of the museum and the role of planning 13) Principles and management styles of the museum, the methods of determining cost, acquiring sponsors 14) Safety management in museums

Learning outcomes

In the external operation it concerns primarily the role of institutions in society and the field of action, both in relation to non-profit sector and educational institutions and environment. The external context then contains the rules for public relations, fundraising, marketing and use of modern technologies and innovative practices in communication. Students get the basics for understanding the rules of procedure and rules and procedures for communication.
Students will become familiar with the internal and external functioning of cultural institutions, particularly with legislation, the definition of the fundamental role of institutions, by setting the functional nature of the institution management, and personnel policies and management strategies, including motivational factors and the stability of financial institutions. In the external operation is primarily the role of institutions in society and the field of action, both in relation to non-profit sector and educational institutions and environment.
Prerequisites
Fulfilment of previous study obligations, knowledge of Czech cultural history, art history.
