Course content
|
The subject presents the origination and development of Czech national movement in European context and the context of other national movements in Habsburg monarchy. The emancipation and the completion of the formation of modern Czech society whose requirements were confronted with the requirements of German national movement are studied. |
The subject presents the origination and development of Czech national movement in European context and the context of other national movements in Habsburg monarchy. The emancipation and the completion of the formation of modern Czech society whose requirements were confronted with the requirements of German national movement are studied. The gradual nationalization of the society in the second half of the 19th century (till 1914) is studied not only on the level of political conflicts, but also in everyday life and culture.
Students will learn the origins and development of the Czech national movement in the European context and in the context of other national movements in the Habsburg monarchy.
