Course content
Abstract: Lectures will be devoted to the basics of archival and administrative Czechoslovak and Czech history since 1918. Exercise will primarily serve to deepen the knowledge of the other historical sciences (primarily paleografických practical skills) and individual papers listeners. Thematic definition: 01) Archival science - basic terminology of the field, archived periodicals, history of the field 02) Archival science - the current structure of the CR in the archives, archival education 03) Archival science - archival legislation, records management, destruction 04) Archival sciences - types and archival collections, sorting, and organizing archival records 05) Archival science - security, storage and use of archival 06) Excursion in the State District Archives in Jablonec nad Nisou 07) The history of administration - Constitutional development after 1918 08) The history of administrative - state and local government administration in 1918 09) The history of administration in the period of Nazi occupation of 1938 / 1939 - 1945 10) The history of administration - Constitutional development, public administration and local government since the 1945 11) The history of administration - judicial and financial administration and organization of security forces in 1945 12) The history of administration - an organization of system of the Communist Party and National Front in 1989 13) The history of administration after 1989 14) Excursion in the State District Archives in Liberec

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)

Learning outcomes
Subject evolves knowledge and abilities obtained in PV1. It also familiarizes with the organisation and the structure of archives in the Czech Republic and its history, basic terminology, industry periodicals and literature. Students will be acquainted with the history and structure of the current government administration and local government.
Students will learn the basics of archival and administrative Czechoslovak and Czech history since 1918.
Prerequisites
Before enlisting subjects marked as II or III student has to pass same subjects with mark I or II.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

Active attendance on discussions (lessons); fulfilment of homework; passing a test successfully; study of recommended literature.
