The course is devoted to a selected topic from older history. As an example we present the course Selected Aspects of Baroque Art in the Region. Its aim is to present selected key points of the development of Baroque art in the context of European development with a focus on works of art in the region. The main topics are architecture, painting and sculpture, attention is also paid to applied art and folk architecture. In order to better understand the artistic development of the Baroque period, a specific regional theme is preceded by a more generalized explanation explaining the most important sources of inspiration, personalities and works of the given circle. The lecture explains the phenomenon of Baroque collecting with emphasis on personalities with a connection to the region. In 16?18. century was a natural part of the art of emblematics and iconology - this area is devoted to a separate lecture.
