Course content
Annotation: The aim is to present the scientific work in a gallery. The content of the subject is the theoretical and also practical introduction into the problems of exhibition making. Exhibition idea, theoretical elaboration of the project - choice of arts, financial interest, instalation problems, advertising. Thematic definition: 01) Visit of the Regional gallery in Liberec, introduction into the problems of galleries and museums in the Czech Republic 02) Periodicals with focus on the visual arts, history of collecting of visual art 03) Czech galleries, museum, gallery, house of art (Kunsthalle) 04) Moravian galleries, exhibitions 05) Private galleries in the Czech Republic, current legislation concerning museums and galleries 06) Art associations in the Czech Republic, history and presence, professional associations, ethic codex of the ICOM 07) European and world galleries - history, collecting funds, catalogues 08) Museums and galleries of the Liberec region, focus, collection funds, publication activities 09) Contens of the gallery work: presentation, scientific activities, proposals of possible exhibition projects 10) Visit and comparison of chosen exhibitions 11) Conception of exhibitions, theoretic processing - creation of portfolio 12) Protection and security of collections; question of financial protection of the project, creation of additional prints (invitations, postures, catalogues, PR texts) 13) Galleries and public; creation of the addtional program for wider public with focus on different age categories 14) Assessment of particular exhibition projects, discussion, conclussion

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Individual creative and artistic activities

Learning outcomes
The aim is to present the scientific work in a gallery. The content of the subject is the theoretical and also practical introduction into the problems of exhibition making. Exhibition idea, theoretical elaboration of the project - choice of arts, financial interest, instalation problems, advertising.
It corresponds to the definition of the subject and to the demands given in syllabus.

Essay, Presentation of artistic and creative activities

Active attendance on discussions (lessons); fulfilment of homework; passing a test successfully; study of recommended literature.
