Course content
|
The course focuses on the basic characteristics of the cultural development of Czech and Czecho-German societies in the last two centuries. Culture in Czech and Czecho-German societies fulfilled not only artistic and educational functions, but also socially emancipational and political functions. The instruction follows the periodisation and typologization of cultural development (National Revival, Avant-garde, catholic culture, socialist arts, underground, etc.). Students will learn the basic characteristics of cultural development in Czech and Czech-German company in the last two centuries.

Prerequisites
|
Compliance with the previous course requirements, students have an overview of basic concepts and cultural events in 19th-and 20 century in the Czech environment.
