Course content
During the lessons, the students will be acquainted with the methodology of teaching the basic parts of the curriculum of high school mathematics, especially grammar schools. In the exercises, students will present examples of the interpretation of these parts and on specific examples they will practice methodological procedures of teaching. 1. Sets and mathematical logic. 2. Equations and inequalities in real numbers. 3. Elementary functions, development of functional thinking. 4. Goniometry - didactic aspects of interpretation, application of trigonometric functions. 5. Geometry in plane and space - didactic aspects of teaching. 6. Analytical geometry - didactic aspects of teaching. 7. Complex numbers and their use. 8. Combinatorics - combinatorial models, procedures and principles - didactic aspects of teaching. 9. Probability and mathematical statistics. 10. Vectors - didactic aspects of explanations, applications. 10. Analytical geometry - didactic aspects of interpretation. 11. Sequences and series. 12. Differential and integral calculus. 13. Financial literacy - aspects of development of financial literacy of pupils. 14. Repetition.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Written assignment presentation and defence, Problematic methods (research and exploration)
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Basic knowledge, Equations and inequations, Planimetry, Stereometry, Complex numbers, Combinatoric, Analytic geometry, Diferential and integral calculus, Computers in school mathematics.
