Course content
|
The subject is focused on the elementary concepts of arithmetic and algebra. It is taught in Czech language. The brief theoretical introduction of these topics will be performed. Basic concepts will be interpreted with focus on their application in teaching mathematics at primary school. Lectures: 1. Algebraic structures with one and two binary operations, examples of numerical sets. 2. Building the concept of a natural number, the cardinal concept of a natural number, the connection with the curriculum at the 1st grade of elementary school. 3. Building the concept of natural number, ordinal concept of natural number, connection with the curriculum at the 1st grade of primary school. 4. A natural number as an element of the Pean set. 5. Semiring (N, +, ?) and its properties - division with remainder, divisibility signs, prime number, composite number. 6. Summary of substance, reserve. Seminars: The material presented in the lecture in the previous week is discussed - see the syllabus of the lecture, in the 1st week selected topics from M1 are repeated.

Learning outcomes
|
Building the structure of natural numbers and getting to know their basic properties.
Knowledge of the essential concepts of arithmetics, intuitive set theory and propositional calculus. Insight into the concept of natural number defined by means of different ways.

Prerequisites
|
Knowledge of secondary school mathematics, successful completion of the subject MPRP.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Combined examination, Student's performance analysis
Active participations on seminars, successfully absolved tests. Knowledge of secondary school mathematics (by curriculum of gymnasium, humanities). Successful completion of the subject MPRP.
