Course content
|
The content of the subject is divided into several themes. Students are acquainted with various types of tasks and methods of their solution in order to develop the mathematical abilities of talented pupils. Attention is paid to the analysis of tasks from mathematical competitions. The subject is led as a seminar with separate student outputs. Students will be presented a set of tasks, which they will process and present on individual exercises. The output is a seminar work which is practically focused on the development of mathematical skills of pupils of the first grade. Practice topics: 1. Mathematical tasks at elementary school - classification of assignments, demonstrations and solution illustrations. 2. Mathematical Competitions - Nonstandard tasks in geometry and arithmetic and their solution. Tasks handled by models. 3. Experimental Tasks - Problems solved by experiment and enumeration of all possibilities. 4. Using the theory of graphs in solving problems at elementary school. 5. Development of Logical Thinking - Problems Solved by Judgment, Evaluation of Judgments. 6. Probabilistic problems - probability around us, application tasks. 7. Didactic game as a means to develop abilities to solve mathematical problems.
