Course content


Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming)
  • Class attendance - 30 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 14 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 16 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim is to expand the existing knowledge in the field of realia with intercultural and intracultural theoretical models and to strengthen the cultural interpretative competences of students. Cultural development is conceived as a continuous process, as an intercultural and intracultural exchange of ideas and stimuli. In order to present these issues in all their multifaceted perspective, the content of the course will be conceived on the following levels: 1. the level of intercultural perception, 2. the historical-cultural level, 3. the linguistic level. In this context, the seminar will focus on the following thematic units: 1. the basic definition of the issue of intracultural and intercultural theoretical models, 2. the relationship between Czechs and Germans in its historical development and current form, 3. the phenomenon of intercultural learning, foreign languages as a means of intercultural understanding. All topics of the seminar will be set in the European cultural and historical context. The exercise includes a compulsory three-day joint excursion to Berlin.
Language competence development in accordance with the curriculum of the accredited field.

Oral presentation of self-study, Test

Active participation in seminars, successful completion of assignments, 75% presence in seminars.
