Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the design of reinforced concrete buildings and structures of various types and purposes, including their foundations and including structural modifications to existing structures. The course also includes the basics of designing masonry buildings with a focus on their static performance and structural modifications to existing masonry structures.
1. Demonstrates the ability to consider the structural system as an integral part of an architectural design. 2. Demonstrates the ability to use technical knowledge to support design decisions in the design and reconstruction of buildings. 3. Demonstrates the ability to communicate and cooperate with professional specialists in solving the designs of more complex structures. 4. Demonstrates the ability to apply knowledge of current and historical types of structures to design in specific urban and building conditions.
