Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to deepen students' knowledge of steel structures, especially in the area of designing multi-storey buildings and hall structures. The student will also gain an overview of the properties, advantages and possibilities of using wood for building structures. He will also acquire the basic principles and principles of designing wooden structures and is able to carry out a basic design of wooden structural elements.
1. Student applies acquired knowledge when deciding on the suitability of material and structural solutions for a given type of building. 2. Student works independently with technical documentation and drawings of load-bearing systems. 3. Student takes into account sustainability and the life cycle of structures when designing. 4. Student cooperates in the design of structures within the project team and communicates his/her designs professionally. 5. Student reflects on the historical development of wooden structures in the context of current design and reconstruction.
