  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 28 hours per semester
  • Undergraduate study programme term essay - 8 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the basics of general and engineering geology, focusing on the needs of architecture and construction, and with the main geotechnical problems in construction.
1. Student is able to integrate geological and geotechnical knowledge into architectural design. 2. Student is familiar with technical documentation and professional outputs of engineering and geological surveys. 3. Student is able to cooperate with experts in the field of geology, geotechnics and civil engineering in planning and preparing construction. 4. Student is aware of the risks arising from inappropriate foundation and ignorance of the geological subsoil during construction.
