Course content
1. Introduction, statistical data 2. Fiber preparation 3. Carding 4. Airlaid, wetlaid, random laid 5. Layering of web, web bonding by ROTIS technology 6. Needle punching technology - principle, parameters 7. Needle punching technology- properties, end use 8. Spunlace technology - principle, parameters 9. Spunlace technology - properties, end use 10. Stitch bonding technology - principle, parameters 11. Stitch bonding technology - properties, types of products 12. Tufting technology - principle, parameters 13. Tufting technology - principles of patterning 14. Entire production lines, other operations The order of lectures are not obligatory.

Learning outcomes
Basic terms, characteristics, differences. Raw materials, web formation - trends. Principles of production of mechanically bonded nonwoven fabrics based on tangle fibre interbinding - felts, spunla-ced technique. Basic arrangement of the main functional parts of needle punching machine. Stitch bonding processes, product applications. Recommended test methods for NW fabrics.
Student acquire knowledges of subject.
