Topics: 1) Theory of law: law, sources of law, legal norm, implementation of law 2) Constitutional law: concept, Constitution of the Czech Republic - characteristics of the state, branches of power 3) Human rights: starting points, international protection of human rights, Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms, judicial protection, citizenship 4) European Union: history, concept, competences, EU citizenship, EU law, EU institutions 5) Private law: concept, principles, legal branches, recodification of private law 6) Civil law: concept, sources, principles, subjects, consumer, entrepreneur, representation 7) Legal facts: legal act (form, invalidity) 8) Things: concept, division, part of a thing, accessory to a thing, security; Inheritance law 9) Absolute property rights: concept, possession, ownership, co-ownership 10) Absolute property rights: Property rights to other people's property (construction rights, easements, liens and retention rights) 11) Relative property rights: concept, content and subject of an obligation, contract (content, conclusion, consumer contracts), changes and termination of obligations, securing and confirming debts 12) Relative property rights: obligations from legal acts - contractual types 13) Relative property rights: obligations from torts and other legal reasons - compensation for damage, unjust enrichment

Learning outcomes
|
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to build a legal consciousness of the student on the basis of knowledge of legal concepts that are important for understanding the law. Student will understand the basic legal concepts after successful completion of the subject and institutes. Student will be able to interpret legal transcripts, analyze legal order, and use general legal terminology to work with legal texts.
