Course content
The subject Subject-Specific Didactics Seminar I follows on from Subject-Specific Didactics II. The subject further develops teaching skills for teaching at primary and secondary schools with regard to different types and functions of lessons, the physical and mental well-being of pupils in class, and the use of activating teaching methods. Emphasis is placed on training students to create their own teaching materials and evaluate them in pedagogical practice. The acquired competencies in planning and conducting lessons are developed in the context of the subject Reflective Pedagogical Practice II. In practical training, students become familiar with the didactic analysis of selected thematic units of the curriculum and the specifics of their teaching from the perspective of subject didactics. The practical outputs of the didactic analysis of thematic units of the curriculum are methodological materials, which are presented and evaluated in pairs or groups in the seminar. In cooperation with the teacher, students provide each other with feedback on these teaching aids. The materials are used in the seminar to design their own micro-outputs. Subtopics: 1. Creation of teaching materials: student motivation - introductory lessons for a subject, introductory lessons for thematic units - motivation in educational situations - motivational components of teaching materials, student preconceptions and their active use (time allocation: 1 hour) 2.
