Course content
|
1. Didactics, concept, subject, basic problems and themes, methods of research, relations of didactics to other sciences, support of psychological concepts, field didactics. 2. Theory of education. 3. Education, European education systems, educational policy, education perspective. 4. Determinants of real education. Learning communication, time factor, pedagogue, learner. Social factors in the process of education. 5. Concepts of verbal teaching, association concept, pragmatic teaching, programmed learning and teaching, mastery learning, constructivism. Psychological basis of didactic concepts and their current conception. 6. Education and its analysis, objectives, content, resources, conditions of education.

Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)

Learning outcomes
|
The course introduces students to the basic concepts and principles of teaching theory. Describes educational theory, analyzes the teaching process, learning objectives and selected teaching concepts.
After completion of the course student will be able: 1. to understand the content of prescribed curriculum of General didactics 2. to reflect the topic critically 3. to demonstrate specific intellectual skills gained in a course in writing of a semestral paper 4. to apply gained knowledge in educational process

Prerequisites
|
Student is acknowledged with basic theoretical concepts of general pedagogy.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written assignment, Test
Active participation in lectures, performing of intermediate tasks, written test. Seminar paper, reading of literature.
