Course content
|
Thematic areas: 1. Introduction to the subject. Basic terminology. 2. Historical and cultural heritage as an issue in education and training. 3. Forms and means of mediating historical heritage in education and training. 4. Places of historical memory as educational spaces. 5. Educational projects and interpretation of historical heritage. Examples of good practice. 6. Landscape - environment - architecture. 7. Public space - genius loci - intangible cultural and historical heritage. 8. Gallery animation and the educational potential of exhibition institutions (galleries, museums). 9. Educational and experiential forms of mediating cultural and historical heritage. 10. Planning educational activities in cooperation with exhibition institutions. 11. Specifics of the preparation, implementation, and reflection of ways of mediating selected topics of cultural and historical heritage. 12. Sources of inspiration (current publications, computer programs, digital applications). 13.-14. Presentation and reflection on seminar papers.

Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)

Learning outcomes
|
The course introduces basic concepts and topics related to tangible and intangible cultural and historical heritage and the possibilities of its mediation for various target groups. The topics of the exercises are linked to the topics of the lectures. Outcomes: Students will be able to plan and implement educational activities that draw on the cultural environment in which they live and in which the children and young people they teach live. Students will learn the techniques and methodologies of the Památky nás baví (We Enjoy Monuments) project.
