Course content
Thematic areas: 1. Informal education - educational and training aspects. Informal education and its significance and position in the current educational debate. Informal education institutions and their educational and training objectives. 2. Conditions for educational work in informal education - internal and external conditions and their influence on the planning and implementation of pedagogical activities in informal education. Means of educational work in informal education. 3. Use of alternative educational concepts and approaches in pedagogical activities in informal education. 4. Selected content of non-formal education: Cultural and natural heritage. Education of citizens in an open society, Personal and social education. Drama education. Literary and language education. Aesthetic development of children. Information education and the digital age. 5. Research-oriented education, project methods in informal education - concepts, examples of good practice. 6. Actors and relationships in informal education. Education-authority-free development of the individual. 7. Education and the individuality of the child. Education and community. Education and gender.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Project teaching, Lecture

Learning outcomes
The course introduces students to the definition of education, basic educational concepts, the education system, and educational processes in the context of human-society/culture-nature interaction. Outcomes - students understand educational activities in the context of goals, conditions, methods, and outcomes; they are able to plan, implement, and evaluate educational activities with regard to the specific characteristics of children and young people and with regard to conditions of inclusivity.
