Course content
|
Topics: 1. Introduction to legal theory - definition of basic legal terms, sources of law, types of legal culture, classification of law, legal relationships, subjects of legal relationships. 2. Convention on the Rights of the Child and its application in education law. 3. Constitution of the Czech Republic, its parts and significance for Czech citizens. 4. Overview of areas covered by the Education Act. 5. The Education Act and decrees focusing on the education of pupils with special educational needs and gifted pupils. 6. The Education Act and decrees focusing on school counseling services and school counseling facilities. 7. The Education Act and decrees focusing on extracurricular education. 8. Health and safety in schools and school facilities. 9. The Act on Pedagogical Workers. 10. Civil Code - family law. 11. Act on Social and Legal Protection of Children. 12. Act on the Execution of Institutional or Protective Education and Preventive Educational Care. 13. Act on Juvenile Justice. 14. Regulation of civic associations under the new Civil Code.

Learning outcomes
|
Results: Students are able to plan and implement educational situations with regard to their legal context and framework, and are familiar with the basic legal norms necessary for educational work in informal education.

Student's performance analysis, Written assignment
Active participation in the course, active completion of all assigned tasks, reading of professional literature, completion of a professional semester paper, successful verification of knowledge acquired in the course, achievement of the minimum criteria set for obtaining credits.
