Course content
|
Thematic areas: 1. Social-psychological training of educational skills for teachers - self-awareness, self-reflection, getting to know others in social interactions, communication at school, conflicts at school and how to deal with them, mental health aspects of school interactions, social skills at school and opportunities for developing them in teachers and students. 2. Social skills: self-awareness, self-reflection and getting to know others, communication in educational situations (teacher-student, teacher-parent, teacher-teacher), conflicts in educational situations and how to manage them, mental health aspects of social interactions in education, and training in simple relaxation exercises. 3. Professional skills of the educator - understanding the influence of the educator on the child-student and the influence of students/children on the educator, social perception, effective information transfer - one-way communication and feedback communication procedures, understanding non-verbal expressions of individuals. 4. Professional skills of a teacher: listening to the essence of the communicated content, empathy towards individuals and the whole group, open expression of positive and negative experiences, expressing emotions and working with the emotions of others, the art of praise. 5. Professional skills of a teacher: respecting and tolerating different views on interactions, authenticity of a teacher's expressions in relation to students, expressing opinions on specific situations and not on generalized and generalizing experiences. 5. Teacher's professional skills: respecting and tolerating different views on interactions, authenticity of the teacher's behavior in relation to students, expressing opinions on specific situations rather than generalized and generalizing experiences. 6. Teacher's professional skills: accepting students' personalities, supporting students'/children's self-control, styles of conflict management, developing children's responsibility. 7. Teacher's professional skills: developing self-confidence in each student's/child's own abilities, developing self-assured behavior, guiding towards cooperation. The course leads to the gradual, self-reflective development of students' professional competencies in the areas of planning, implementing, and reflecting on educational programs, creating an environment for educational activities with an emphasis on a differentiated approach to the creation and implementation of pedagogical activities, in the area of assessment, reflection on learning outcomes and support for formative assessment of pupils, as well as in the area of ethical conduct of teachers.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim and outcome of the course Social Psychological Skills for Educators is to provide a deeper understanding of selected social psychological topics and issues in educational practice, and to understand the basic connections between social psychological principles and the conditions of educational work.
