Course content
The course uses inspection visits in selected educational institutions with a focus on the standard of education and educational work (e.g. the functioning of school clubs, children's and youth's homes, but also other organizations involved in out-of-school education), as well as in the context of the functioning of these institutions in the system of education (government and local government). Part of all inspection activities is the previous preparation and subsequent analysis and controlled group reflection. Student writes inspection journal as the basis for the processing of the final portfolio of practical training.

Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Observation, Group consultation
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 14 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 12 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The course deals with the practical context of educational system and educational concepts; introduces the student to the essence of the practical educational terrain and the methodological possibilities of his learning (observation exercises, work with the observation arc, training of analysis and reflection of monitored phenomena, etc.).
After completion of the course student will be able: 1. to understand the content of prescribed curriculum of the course 2. to reflect the topics of the course critically 3. to demonstrate specific intellectual skills gained in a course in writing of a portfolio 4. to apply gained knowledge in educational practice
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of general pedagogy.
