Course content
1. Principles of scientific work, meaning of scholar text, qualification thesis (meaning, essence, assignment). 2. Information databases and resources in the education sciences (specificity of the thematic field). 3. Work with scholar literature (analysis, extracts, curriculum, quotations). 4. Possibilities and focus of the thesis (theoretical, compilation, research). 5. Principles of the creation of diploma thesis (formal rules, scope, structure, text balance, presentation of data, graphics). 6. Citation standards, ethical rules of research and publication, writing of scholar text. 7. Design of the diploma project (topic, aim, structure, methodology, discussion, resources, requisites).

Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)

Learning outcomes
The course acquaints students with basic principles of scientific work, writing of scholar texts and with the procedures of diploma thesis. The content of the course is focused on the requirements, rules and concepts of the diploma thesis, the work with the scholar literature, the possibilities of using the available data and their interpretation, the construction of a scholar text and the specificity of research in education sciences. The output is the elaboration of the concept of own diploma thesis with thematic literary research.
After completion of the course student will be able: 1. to understand the content of prescribed curriculum of Project of diploma thesis 1 2. to reflect the topic critically 3. to apply gained knowledge in writing of diploma thesis
Prerequisites
Student has basic knowledge of general pedagogy and general, developmental and social psychology.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral presentation of self-study, Written assignment

The student will present the intended concept of his diploma thesis, the aim (or goals) that the diploma thesis should follow and the research of the scholar resources related to the topic of the diploma thesis (monographs, proceedings, articles in peer-reviewed journals, qualification thesis). The student also declares his motivation and engagement on the chosen topic.
