Course content
|
1. Non-formal education - educational and training aspects. Non-formal education and its importance and position in the current educational debate. Non-formal education institutions and their educational goals. 2. Conditions of educational work in non-formal education - internal and external conditions and their influence on the planning and implementation of pedagogical activities in non-formal education. Means of educational work in non-formal education. 3. Use of alternative educational concepts and approaches in pedagogical activities of non-formal education. 4. Selected contents of non-formal education: Cultural and natural heritage. Citizen education in an open society, Personal and social education. Drama education. Literary language education. Aesthetic development of the child. Information education and the digital age. 5. Research-oriented education, project methods in non-formal education - concepts, examples of good practice. 6. Actors and relationships in non-formal education. Education-authority-free development of the individual. Education and individuality of the child. Education and community. Education and gender.

Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)

Learning outcomes
|
Students will understand the development of educational theory since J. A.Komensky to contemporary approaches.
After completion of the subject student will be able: 1. to understand the content of prescribed curriculum of the course 2. to reflect the topic critically 3. to demonstrate specific intellectual skills gained in a course in writing of a semestral theses 4. to apply gained knowledge in educational process 5. to be motivated for continuous learning in the field

Student has basic knowledge of general pedagogy on high school level.

Assessment methods and criteria

Oral presentation of self-study, Written assignment
Study objectives: 1. active participation on the lecture 2. participants will perform all given tasks 3. reading of relevant academic texts 4. writing a semestral academic paper 5. successful accomplishment of institutional objectives of the course - attainment above the minimum requirements for the award of credit
