Course content
1. Pedagogical-psychological diagnostics as a tool for learning about reality. 2. Dynamic diagnostics of the abilities and skills of the child and adolescent as a tool of learning of individuals. 3. Diagnostics of roles and relationships in the group as a tool for development of group climate. 4. Formative diagnostics of individuals and groups with risk behavior as a tool for prevention of risk behavior. 5. Self-assessment of the child and adolescent as an instrument of his self-development. 6. Self-diagnosis of the educator as an instrument of his self-development. 7. Ethics in diagnostics.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)
  • Class attendance - 14 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 14 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 12 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with pedagogical-psychological diagnostics carried out by educators to find out the level and to suport development of social and communicational skills of children and adolescents; and to know the positions of children and adolescents in group. Chosen topics are presented from its content, definition til application of theoretical knowledge to solution of selected model situations.
After completion of the course student will be able: 1. to understand the content of prescribed curriculum of Pedagogical-psychological diagnostics as tool of development 2. to reflect the topic critically 3. to demonstrate specific intellectual skills gained in a course in writing of a semestral paper 4. to apply gained knowledge in educational practice
Prerequisites
Student has basic knowledge of developmental and social psychology.

Student's performance analysis, Practical demonstration of acquired skills, Presentation of group work, Oral presentation of self-study
