Course content
The aim of the course is to analyze some educational issues of contemporary school. The main focus is on the issue of disobedience in school, because this is the main issue for unexperienced teachers. In this context, the issue of teacher's authority will be clarified, together with determinants of social behaviour or children. On this basis, learners will be provided with skills to learning socially acceptable behaviour. The course deals with a role of class-teacher. Furthermore, it describes principles and techniques of mental hygiene in work of teacher. The further goal is to learn students incorporating value aspects to goals and educational content. Examples of value-shaping situations will be discussed and analyzed. 1. School obedience in contemporary schools. 2. Determinants of social behaviour of pupils. 3. Relationship between main and class teacher in leading pupils to aware obedience. 4. Socially professional comptencies of class teacher at 3rd grade. 5. Mental hygiene and authority of teacher. 6. Authority and politeness. 7. Aware obedience as socially-individual value.

Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing)

Learning outcomes
The subject deals with chosen pedagogical problems in education and teaching as well as with teaching high school students.

Prerequisites
Student has basic knowledge of General Pedagogy, General Didactics, History of PEdagogy.

Student's performance analysis

Study objectives: 1. active participation on the lecture 2. participants will perform all given tasks 3. reading of relevant academic texts 4. writing a semestral academic paper 5. successful accomplishment of institutional objectives of the course - attainment above the minimum requirements for the award of credit
