Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Written assignment

Obtaining the credit is conditioned by at least 75% participation in seminars and submission of seminar paper at the last seminar in the winter semester. The text of the paper presents an overview of key information and a critical analysis of the content of at least 2 books from the syllabus. If necessary, the student will complete the text before granting the credit, according to the teacher's instruction. Paper for each publication should be prepared in at least 4 standard pages. The study and processing of Drapela's text (Overview of personality theories) is binding for all. The second compulsory elective book in the field of general psychology is selected from the works of one of the following authors: Helus, Hill, Kern et al., Nakonečný, Plháková, Říčan, Vágnerová. During the exam, the student has to prove the ability to think critically about the entire textbook, so it is not possible to process only selected chapters. Studying and processing the third and next book is positively evaluated in the exam. The selection of the text for the seminar paper cannot be done from the auxiliary literature; this is given exclusively in case of possible ambiguities during the self-study. Requirement for the exam is to obtain compensation and orientation in the studied issue of the extent of syllabus. The exam is carried out in the form of debate over the specific subjects of the syllabus and potential application in the context of direct educational activities; the input part of the test involves a debate on a structured critical analysis of studied literature. Student will bring printed seminar papers for the exam.
